µ       HAPPY NEW YEAR!  All of us at Center Stage wish you and your family a happy, healthy new year!  We hope you all enjoyed your holiday. 

µ      Please remit your tuition payments January3rd-January 10^th.   Finale members… Please remit your Finale Tuition this week as well as your regular tuition.  See your e-mail for details.  

µ      Please remember that student dress code is a BODYSUIT & TIGHTS worn to every class.  Cheer students should wear a bodysuit under their shorts & tank tops/t-shirts.  Although it is always important to wear the proper dance attire, it is especially important during the months of January - March because we are trying on costumes!  As our recital costumes come in, we slip them on QUICKLY to make sure that they fit okay.  We don’t want to use too much class time with this process so we do not allow students to use the bathrooms for changing because it takes too long.  Therefore, if a student is not wearing a bodysuit & tights we do not allow them to change into their costume to check for sizing.  Sizing is important so please be sure when you are getting ready for dance, tumbling, or cheer class that you remember your bodysuit &/or tights! 

µ      Please understand that attendance is very important during these months because we are learning so much material for our recital.  If students are absent they should schedule a make-up lesson to catch up on missed material.  Make-up lessons should be scheduled for students who are ages 10 and up by calling the studio and leaving a message for your child’s assistant.  Teachers do not give make-up lessons.   If there is no class assistant, they need to contact a classmate for a make-up.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON…

The 2012 Rehearsal & Recital Dates at Batavia High School (BHS):  Wednesday May 29^th – Sunday June 3^rd.  (Shows are Saturday and Sunday at 3pm, a detailed rehearsal and recital schedule will follow soon.)To keep it fair to all, our studio policy is that we DO NOT take special requests for rehearsal/recital dates/shows, as there are too many students to take into consideration.  We will not know which show you are in until March at which time it will be posted in the waiting room.   We try as best as we can to keep kids in one show, but we ask that you realize the difficulty it takes when they are in multiple routines and dance on different days of the week.

DANCE PICTURES by Photosmiths will be taken out on the stage in the mall Friday April 27^th & Saturday April 28^th.  A detailed schedule will be sent out in mid-March with specific days and times for each class photo, we just wanted to let you know so you can pencil these dates in while making spring plans!  Pictures are optional – we do not take special requests.   

COSTUME WEEK – March 26^th – 31^st. This is a very important week when we ask that one parent for each child stop in the studio to gather all of their recital costumes and info.  New this year… we will be passing out BAILEY’S RECITAL TIGHT ORDER FORMS prior to costume week so you can pre pay and pre order them and have them in your hand COSTUME WEEK. 

JANUARY NOTES

µ      CD’s with your child’s dance music will be available for purchase the first week of February in the office. 

CD’s are burned with each “day of the week” music selections on them.  For example:  all classes that meet on Tuesday, no matter what teacher – level – studio, is all on one CD labeled TUESDAY CD.   So if you dance on Tuesday and Saturday – you will need to buy the TUESDAY and Saturday CD’s.  These CD’s are uncut and parents are responsible for content editing.

µ      We will be posting a picture of your child’s costume in the waiting room in January…be sure to stop in!

µ      Did you join us on FACEBOOK yet?  This is a great way for you to stay informed on all our CSDC news, snow/weather closings, and general happenings!     

µ      Bad weather? …CSDC will announce closings on our FACEBOOK page. Remember, we do not use WBTA or TV stations to announce our closings and if possible, an outgoing message will be left on the studio machine.
